The restaurant is easily accessible by car, but you can also hike here! The view of the Okerstausee is wonderful. There is a large selection of cream puffs, served very decoratively and in different sized portions! Since I am not a fan of a lot of cream, I tried my companions! Everything tasted very good! The decor in the dining room is nothing special, but it is a place for excursions. But the cream puffs are great.

We were there with our children on October 31, 2020 shortly before the second LOCKDOWN and were very impressed. Starting with the friendly welcome to the very polite and quick service. The cream puffs are awesome! The location and view from our window seat is beautiful. All in all, it was a very pleasant stay! The hygiene concept was implemented in word and deed at every point. Everyone was always polite and nice. What we have already experienced differently. It is sad that such a tourist and regional highlight as the WINDBAG KÖNIG has to close. We would have loved to enjoy the cream puffs and the hospitality again! MANY THANKS FOR THIS BEAUTIFUL EXPERIENCE

Gladly again. The cream puffs taste great, it goes very quickly and the prices are good too. The ambience is more geared towards the older generation for coffee and cake but definitely worth a visit.

Very tasty and great range of Windbeutels! Beautiful view over the Oker Reservoir. It might be a good idea to reserve a table to avoid waiting times.

Thank you for the nice welcome and the great explanation. We took our cream puffs with us because it was unfortunately fully booked (which speaks for itself). The gentleman at reception (boss?) Took great care of our daughter. And explained to us everything that is best to take with you.

Portion was okay, taste was very good. The look was impressive. I can only recommend it to everyone who is on vacation in the Harz Mountains. Is an experience. The staff is really very friendly and looks very familiar.

The visit to the Windbag König 👑 was a highlight. Despite the great rush, we gladly waited for a free table in Corona times. The employee at the entrance, I think his name was Sascha, was super friendly and had everything under control. The cream puffs that we were allowed to eat were awesome, 1a - it couldn't be better. So absolutely recommendable 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

The cream puff went so 🤷‍♀️ for that the 2 stars! The so-called guest room 🙈 a disaster !!! The carpet dirty the curtains years ago, much less because you should try to clean the windows! The room itself is reminiscent of 50 years ... disaster! Handicapped accessible zero! It is better not to go to the ladies' toilet. Even with so many guests you can at least keep the toilets reasonably clean! For 2 "small" cream puffs 1 cocoa 1 coffee 23.60 € I don't think the money matters, but that's outrageous! Never again....!!!

Excellent! Great cream puffs creations, very nice and quick staff, very responsible handling of the hygiene rules. Highly recommended, even if you have to plan a little waiting time, as you cannot reserve. Worth it. Thank you so much !

The food was good and the service friendly. However, the day ticket was only displayed at the front of the restaurant and was not handed out as a ticket. The staff also wanted to sell you only large portions. The cream puff contained a lot of cream at times. Nothing special now, but there are also worse restaurants.

Beautifully located in the Harz Mountains, lots of delicious 😋 cream puffs creations, nimble and friendly waiters. There may be waiting times for placement.

Great implementation of the hygiene concept. The view from the terrace is very nice. Fast and very friendly but still joking service. Cream puffs very tasty. A burger-style cream puff would certainly do good for the still super large selection.

If you like to eat cream puffs, you will find it here. In normal and XXL size. No matter whether sweet or savory. Enjoy indoors or outdoors with a view of the Okertal dam.

During the motorcycle excursion there were 5 people. Very kindly received. Get a seat quickly. The staff, especially our waitresses, were very nice and quick-witted. 😉 We had 5 different cream puffs from sweet to savory, all of them were MEGA. So thumbs up 👍 If you have time, stop and try. The cream puffs are awesome. You have to try the Harzer roller cream puffs. The others look gigantic ... you just have to like a lot of cream. Sitting outside is worthwhile, the view is terrific. But there is one small flaw; too much is being disinfected. The whole place smells a bit, unfortunately outside too. We'll be back anyway ...

The cream puffs are delicious. If you eat two you get a third for free. Prices are reasonable. The cream puffs are not only available in sweet, but also in savory. What sounds a bit strange at first is also very tasty. A visit is recommended.

We were there twice yesterday and everything was fine. You were greeted in a friendly manner and you got a table freshly disinfected to share. Since it is currently without a reservation, we waited about 10 minutes for a table to become available. Staff also super friendly. The cream puffs super delicious .. We would love to come back. We were there in time and were lucky to get a table. The welcome was warm and the service very friendly. The cream puffs are delicious. And big is really big! Well worth a visit.

Absolute beautiful display. Unfortunately the quality of the Windbeutel were surprisingly mediocre. They are very heavy and would recommend a tea to help it settle. Restaurant handles Covid well with tables well spaced out. Staff are friendly, food comes out really quick. The price point in our opinion is a bit too high for what it is. The points are for the wow factor.

Fantastic! Creampuffs that will blow your mind! From sweet to savory. Any filling and topping you can and can't imagine. The "normal" size is already big enough to share. Also has great meals for lunch and dinner. Be sure to make a reservation. Lots of busses and locals frequent the restaurant.

Food was good. Nice view from the terrace, we were lucky that it was a warm and sunny day. The restaurant interior is outdated. It's a great place for coffee and desert.

Delicious giant cream puff ... sour cherry was my favorite. Eggnog was delicious too. All with lots of quality whipped cream!

Profiteroles without end of sweetness until hearty. Tasty, but also powerful. After that diet is announced. The service here is friendly and fast. On the weekend is really busy here. There are places inside and outside.
